April’s Sustainable South Hams Group Leaders’ Gathering followed up the Rivers Assembly with updates from new partnerships and ongoing projects.
The Sustainable South Hams Rivers Assembly, the first of its kind in the UK, saw around 150 project, group and community leaders gather to share knowledge, discuss projects and develop new ideas.
With the Sustainable South Hams Rivers Assembly coming up in less than a month, find out more about the current state of our rivers, the challenges we are facing and the actions we can take to help make the South Hams’ rivers some of the cleanest and most wildlife friendly in the country.
Some of our work includes the UK's First River Charter for the Dart at Dartington and devondoughnut.org (based on the priciples of Doughnut Economics)
Moor Trees grows native broadleaved trees in two South Hams nurseries from seed collected locally by its volunteers for planting in South Devon especially Dartmoor National Park.
