October 24, 2024
Slapton Ley Field Studies Council and National Nature Reserve are holding their annual Research Seminar on Saturday 9th November 2024.
The seminar will include a morning of talks with UK-based reintroduction expert and author, Derek Gow, as the keynote speaker. The afternoon will be a ‘meet-and-greet’ style session where people can network, share ideas and learn more about wider projects taking place in South Devon in a Marketplace of Ideas. An array of individuals, organisations and charities will be at the Marketplace of Ideas to showcase their research and projects, allowing a much larger number of people to be involved with the seminar. Along with some of the speakers from the morning, they will be set up with stands and lots of exciting resources and samples for you to engage with.
The welcome talk will begin at 10 am, with refreshments available from 9:45 am in the village hall. The seminar will end by 4 pm. There will be a delicious vegetarian/ vegan lunch spread available. There is no charge for the event, but we will be running a small competition (details to follow), so please bring money along. Donations for the National Nature Reserve are also always welcomed and very much appreciated.
