The Totnes Climate Hub is a new public space at The Mansion, Fore Street, for creating community support and local responses to global challenges. It will be open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Held in the Civic Hall on the 25th June 2022, the Climate Hub launch featured workshops, activities and speakers to celebrate the opening.

Sustainable South Hams was one of several local organisations and projects hosting stalls to showcase their work in the morning. The afternoon saw talks from guests including author and podcaster Tom Rivett-Carnac, Emily Reed from Devon Climate Emergency Partnership and Rob Hopkins, co-founder of Transition Town Totnes and the international Transition Network. The event closed with an evening of music and a vegetarian meal from social enterprise Food in Community.

Jane Nichols, Sustainable South Hams Operations Director, said, “It's great to see the trailblazers in Totnes getting this project off the ground.  It was a really well attended launch event with lots of interesting speakers and ideas. It would be a fantastic project to copy in other towns and villages across the South Hams."
