South Devon National Landscapes Takes Nominations for Community Representatives

South Devon National Landscapes is taking nominations for Community Representatives to serve on the South Devon National Landscape (SDNL) Partnership.  There are seven posts to fill. These posts represent communities of interest right across the scope of the work of the National Landscape and provide a voice for people living and working in, and enjoying leisure time in South Devon, on this statutory organisation. Our very own Jane Nichols has been nominated for Community and Voluntary Groups Representative!

The 7 posts are:

  • Landowning or farming community
  • Parish/town councils.
  • Community or voluntary groups
  • Professional non-government environmental organisations active in the management of the SDNL.
  • Tourism sector
  • Coast and marine sector
  • Business community

Each Parish/Town Council, group, organisation, or business operating in South Devon National Landscape can take part in the vote and has one vote per each of the 7 categories. To have your say about who will represent you, register your business or organisation to vote! Please email enquiries@southdevon-nl.org.uk by Monday 4th November using the subject line ‘Register to vote’.  You will be sent a unique polling reference in order to enable you to vote between 9 am  6th   November and 5 pm 15th November.

Interested candidates are welcome to give the South Devon National Landscape team a call to chat about the role on 01803 229330.  Nominations are open until 12noon on Thursday 31st October. Nomination forms can be completed online.

If there is more than one nomination for any category, organisations will be asked to vote online for their choice of representative from Wednesday 6th November until Friday 15th November.
