Energy Efficiency in South Hams

Our most recent Change Makers Meeting saw Sustainable South Hams Energy Mentors discuss various aspects of energy efficiency, particularly relating to public buildings, as well as funding options available to community groups.

We heard from Dan Parnell on Thermal Imaging relating to homes and public buildings and Tony Lyle on engagement with public bodies in your community with a case study. Tony also outlined a possible travelling Energy Roadshow for community engagement

Sune Nightingale offered a simple comparison exercise for private and public buildings while Mike Hodges outlined a tool for interested people or organisations to use to assess their public buildings.

Louisa Dean (Naturesave Trust) shared news of a funding opportunity for community groups and South Dartmoor Community Energy covered help for vulnerable people and options for the able to pay.
