As Sustainable South Brent’s Re-Source Mentor, Eva has a great network to call on for advice and is a passionate compost and recycling advocate. She is able to offer occasional mentoring services, as well as paid Waste Not Want Not workshops demonstrating wax wrap making and training others to make them, as well as upcycling, wormery creation and more.

Moor Trees

Moor Trees grows native broadleaved trees in two South Hams nurseries from seed collected locally by its volunteers for planting in South Devon especially Dartmoor National Park. We campaign for a more nature-rich Dartmoor with temperate rainforest filling its valleys and help organisations elsewhere to copy our model.

South Hams Tree Wardens Network

We protect mature trees in Parish Conservation Areas and trees with Tree Protection Orders (TPOs) on them. Also involved in lobbying SHDC on the importance of trees in planning.We are affiliated with the Tree Council who run the Tree Warden scheme nationwide.

Other

Sustainable South Brent

We now have a number of well-established projects, including the Marsh Composting Centre, a school garden, a hedges and woodland group and the 4B's. We have more than 200 members. SSB works closely with South Brent Parish Council who declared a Climate and Ecological Emergency in 2019. The Trustee group is presently reviewing strategic priorities and is currently focussing new effort around transport and energy projects.
