About this event
SusSH's gathering in June covered scaling up Earth Resources projects across the South Hams, and developing more Reduce, Reuse, Recycle projects.
Our next Change Makers event will continue that discussion and update on the progress on home and community composting across the South Hams. Our composting mentor Ben Bryant will be discussing recent developments, including news of Marldon Community Composting, an exciting new community composting project.
Ben will also discuss the exciting partnership that has emerged between SusSH, Devon Community Composting Network & South Hams District Council to deliver on a vision for more community composting activity.
We also have a series of funded pilots in development and are looking to recruit community groups who want to trial these solutions. These will include brown bin conversions (brown bins to wormeries, water butts and compost bins), home composting demo sites, community composting, on street composting for food waste
We are getting ready to deliver an exciting and innovative support package to help save earth resources by rebuilding local soils, reducing waste and saving money. We are also hoping to develop a great knowledge sharing network to help groups support each other.
Please do join us if you'd like to share your experiences, hear more about what's going on, or potentially become part of our pilot projects! All are very welcome.
